Footprint Media Academy is a B-BBEE Level 4 Training Provider registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and the Media, Information, Communication and Telecommunication (MICT) Seta.
Since our inception in 2008, Footprint Media Academy has trained and placed hundreds of graduates into the Broadcast and Television Industry.
Unlike conventional training institutions, we create a work environment where students attend college during work hours. This approach assists the students to make the transition into the work environment a seamless one.
We pride ourselves in offering training that is holistic, relevant, current, affordable, and practical. We equip our graduates with the skills to allow them to "hit the ground running" in either the local or international television market.

Real-World Approach
Students must make programmes to learn how to make them. From day one students are behind the scenes, working with equipment, and gaining first-hand experience.

Professional Education
All our training is done by professional experts who are accomplished and active in their field of expertise. The facilitators guide the students through the entire production process.

Workplace Experience
Students are given the opportunity while studying to experience the TV industry first-hand. Once ready for the industry, they are placed at production companies to gain workplace experience.
The team
Cheryl Delport started her career at SABC after completing her Diploma in Journalism. Cheryl has worked in the Technical, Operations and Production fields of broadcasting as well as the Training Department at SABC.
Over the years, although still keeping her hands on technology and production, she moved into Training and Development. Her area of expertise includes project management, designing frameworks and writing course material. She is an accredited Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator as well as a member of the Standard Generating Body for Audio Visual.
For out of town learners she is accredited for teaching English to Foreigners
Sheryl Matthews started her career in the IT Industry. She is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, has her Degree in Computer Science and has completed her Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator Course with the IEB.
She is actively involved with Directing, Producing and Editing in industry. She is currently overseeing the Footprint Media TV online channel ensuring content is available and scheduled.
As the Technical Consultant for NEMISA, Sheryl was responsible for the design, development and implementation of the NEOTEL Academy Telecommunications Learnership.
She was sent by Sony SA to the UK for training on High Definition Technology.
